Time for an update methinks

We washed the puppies a week or two ago, with my newly reformulated doggie shampoo. Fred's hair stood up like a mohawk. So cute. His hair was all fluffy and soft. But yeah, it went all wild and volume-y. LOL.

Surprisingly he seemed to enjoy his shower/bath. Usually he just stands there and suffers it quietly. But it was a hot day that day, and after we finished hosing him down, he just sat there patiently waiting. So we sprayed him again. He seemed to enjoy it. Thank goodness we have one water baby in the family. Rosie on the other hand scrambled away the minute she could.

Here are some more recent family portraits:

Note, this is freddie's usual pose in our house. flat on his back with his legs in the air, hoping for a scratch. if you click up close you can see his foot is pushing on Rosie's jaw. LOL.

This is a more tamer version of the three of them. Although Freddie looks very funny. He always looks so odd when his teeth peek out. You can tell Rosie's a bit of a princess. LOL.

And then later...

His body isn't as long as mine, but you can see he's getting there. He's actually close to an inch taller than Rosie now. I don't think he'll get much taller, but he's certainly getting much broader.

  5. freddie's just a puppy. rosie technically is a year and a half, coming to 2. but i think we'll still call them puppies even when they're long in the tooth. LOL.

  6. Gem will always call the kids her puppies even when Fred gets to be twice her size.

    Ahem. I see favouritism!

    Oooh... I see Foxtel remote!

  7. What kind of shampoo is it?  I haven't given Gigi a bath in MONTHS... doxies are not supposed to take too many baths anyway.  But I am tempted to give her one at some point.

Gigi is the "senior" as she is 4.  lol.  But she is the tinest. ;)

Guilty as charged. But in this case, Freddie IS still a puppy. He's less than a year old!!!

    Oooh... I see Foxtel remote!
Haha... gee your eyes are sharp!

And uh, for the record, I no longer have favourites. I just love one more than the other...

  9. it's a shampoo that i made for the doggies.

i'd love to not give my dogs baths. but they STINK after a while. rosie especially, because she loves to roll in the most smelliest patch of ground that she can find.

the last time we didn't wash them for abt 2 months. i don't mind the general dog pong. it's just what a doggie smells like. but when they stink because they rolled in something - YUCK.

we're going to take them to the beach tomorrow. it's gonna be interesting to see how they take the water.

  10. Oh yea. lol.  Sometimes I am glad that Gigi is this "delicate" diva, who does not like the rain, who does not like a lot of "dog thing".  haha

We also have a dog beach close by, she used to stay far far far away from the water.  lol.  Now she is brave enough to retrieve sticks for me CAUTIOUSLY.  lol.  Of course I can't throw it too deep, I don't even know whether she can swim or not.
