Eavesdropping on the puppies

Fred: I don't know about you, but I quite like it here. regular meals, lots of cuddles, yummy roo and wombat poo, what more could a wolfie want?

Elsie: let's see.. bones 24/7, roos and wombats that we were actually allowed to chase, a chance to stay inside with the Boss' all the time and a couch of my own. Being stuck outside sometimes is the absolute pits.

Fred: Geez Elsie. You don't ask for much! I don't mind so much. I like being outdoors. And it's not like we don't get lots of cuddles when we come inside. Cheer up. Wanna go for some chasies?

Meet the Wolfies

Follow the adventures of Fred, Elsie and Ginger, our wolfhound crosses that we saved from the pound.

Fred was saved from Death Row at Hawkesbury Pound as a 6 month old puppy with big puppy feet in August 2007.

Elsie came from Queanbeyan Pound after being left in their overnight cages one September night in 2010. She was flea-bitten, stunk to high heaven and was skinny as a rake. She passed away in April 2015 suddenly at the young age of 5 to lymphosarcoma. I miss her every day.

Ginger came to us after we drove 5 hours to Tumburumba, in inland country NSW. She had been saved from Wagga Wagga pound by a rescue group and was busy helping inmates rehabilitate at a correctional facility before we came along and took her home. She's a smoochy 2 year old who is the newest addition to our pack and is learning to live with us and help pep Fred (who is now 9) up. We look forward to learning all about her and hope that she will enjoy many adventures with us.

Fred and Ginger live with us on a 100 acre property, get fed twice a day, get to sleep inside every night and receive more cuddles than they know what to do with. Elsie has her spot high on the hill looking out to the view that she was always enamoured with, and we visit often.
